Research Experience 2007-July 2009 Graduate Research Assistant of Teleherence Project - supported by a grant from the National Institute of Health (NIH) National Library of Medicine. Principal Investigator: Dr. Gergely Zaruba Supervisor: Dr. Dick Schoech. Description: The Teleherence system applies web, phone, and prediction technology to the problem of adherence to treatment plans. Design and implement the system for use with any community service delivery system. Fall 2007 Program Evaluation for the City of Dallas Department of Environmental and Health Services, Social Services & Support Program (SSP) at the West Dallas Multipurpose Center (WDMC) Dallas, Texas. Description: The purpose was to evaluate the effectiveness of the SSP at the WDMC; the evaluation was successfully completed in partial fulfillment of the requirements for SOCW 6356: Program and Practice Evaluation. January-June 2008 Screening Interventionist Answer crisis calls, provide information & referral to callers, screen callers for services with May-June 2007 Outpatient Counselor Homeward Prepared treatment plans for average caseload of thirty clients; and provided individual and group counseling sessions to adult clients, including: substance abuse issues, family conflict resolution, anger management skills, social skills, life skills, and medication management skills. January-April 2007 Family Services Manager Union Gospel Mission Provided social services to children, adolescents, and adult clients of a transitional family living center and a single women’s center.
